The sixth studio album finds Andrew Marlin and Emily Frantz returning to ineffaceable gentle and placid meditations. That is, is what about those modes of expiation for daily sin that Augustine considered to be fundamental to the Christian search for salvation. Besides being entertaining, they are intelligent, well-made, well-written, well-acted, with some of the all-time best cinematic characters, along with enough imaginative visuals to amaze and inspire. Mandolin Orange's reliance on exchange is apparent in the album's lyrics. Thor takes Loki home, and the rest of the Avengers disperse.

This fact can't be overvalued, for were the songs' crucial messages conveyed amid pure, heavy-handed clatter, they wouldn't be able to so thoroughly worm their way into your ears, find a place to stay, and compel you to revisit them.

Urbane and judicious, Brown has toured the tottering administrations of the provinces, taken the temperature of the Christian sects, and assessed the depredations of the barbarians. I would go, summer after summer, to see every major film hoping to find one that was worthy of the pantheon of great entertainments from my youth.

Quiet verses of a narrator meekly asking permission from a domineering father figure give way to a blistering refrain where she casts off her shackles. Cassian is only one way he elucidates the shifts in Augustinian notions of politics. There's surprising nudity in an art class. .
It's a surprising track, seemingly very unlike Girlpool in sound and composition, and yet its central question gets at the heart of everything Tucker and Tividad have explored so far as songwriters. Suffice it to say that the stuff on Augustine was some of my favorite stuff in the book. But Marvel Studios was beginning a trend of hiring directors with limited big-budget experience, but strong authorship and vision, and surrounding them with talented, experienced crews. However, it's equally capable of engaging the intellect. This is at least a more thoughtful approach to city destruction than other, similar blockbusters at the time, which seemed to revel in knocking over as many buildings as possible for no clear reason.
McCalla summons a soul music influence underscored by an organ to convey the song's powerful sense of worriment. The film, arguably, could not have been more difficult for Whedon to successfully pull off.
